In Bad Fur Day, Conker is a shabby, drug addict, who regularly celebrates binge drinking with friends. First announced as Conker's Quest at E3 1997, the game would have followed the all ages environment of Conker's Pocket Tales, a handheld title released during its prolonged development cycle. Conker's Bad Fur Day was originally going to be Twelve Tales: Conker 64, an E-rated game like the last two games, but was eventually turned into a mature video game. Rare was criticized for making a game so similar to Banjo-Kazooie, another kid-friendly 3D platformer. Today the Rare YouTube page uploaded never before seen footage of Twelve Tales: Conker 64, showing us that the Nintendo 64 game that would eventually become Conker’s Bad Fur Day started out very differently. But before the third game could ever be released, the game developers were already getting vicious taunts from hecklers regarding them and the game. Twelve Tales: Conker 64, as we knew it, has been cancelled by Rare. Originally titled Conker's Quest, the game starred a Funny Animal squirrel named Conker. Very catchy music (straight from Conker's Pocket Tales,) and large worlds made this game look great, but we'll sadly never play this could-have-been great game.For better or worse, it wasn't. In the game, you could use attacks with your tail, feet, arms, and even a little dinosaur. This meant that only the computers had the game on them, but those computers are all gone now. Unlike Glover 2, this game was made in a way that memory was constantly being transferred form cartridge to computer, and nothing ever stayed on the carts. As far as a demo, nothing could be found. Because of this, the game was scrapped, and Bad Fur Day was released much later. The game was coming along fine, with close to no errors, but the public was annoyed that Rare and Nintendo were getting yet another animal platform game out on the shelves. Player one could control Conker or Berri, and multiplayer modes allowed up to 4 friends to compete in a Smash Brothers-like minigame to defeat the other players. The game featured an adorable squirrel named Conker and his friend Berri rescuing presents from across many worlds, because an evil wizard named Hoodlums stole them and scattered them all over the land.

However, the game that sells today for hundreds of dollars actually started as yet another cute animal platformer, dubbed Conker's Quest. The game received a rating of M for Mature, and it was only advertised by Nintendo on late night TV, as Nintendo, being very family-friendly, refused to mention its existence in their Nintendo Power magazine. Released in March of 2001 for the Nintendo 64, Rareware's oddly unique game 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' featured a rude, red, drunk squirrel named Conker on his journey to save his girlfriend Berri the chipmunk from an evil Panther King and his henchman Don Weaso.
